I have a honda fit 2017 model cvt transmission i get 45 to 46 mpg on the highway at 65mph. The mpg display is as accurate as my calculator at the gas pump. That is with one person and one piece of luggage.

The beep is to warn pedestrians to move out of the way.

So i have a toyota carolla 2014, that the trunk doesnt lock & the seatbelt warning light beeps constantly while driving, is there any way to shut it off? Otherwise i need to go to a body shop & pay 300$ to fix it.

I own a 2013 tacoma long bed, 4 liter V 6. TRD off road package , tow package w/wiring pig tail included. At this time it has 100,000 + mi. Starts , drives exactly like the day it came home. Still tows flat bed trailer. I'm trading it off. Everything about new ones is unsettling.

Got my 2023 trd pro Tacoma. Last of the V6. And yeah I still got a 2001 Tacoma on it last leg.

How many hrs does it call for? How much for labor?

I own one of these. Manual TRD Off Road access cab. I bought it immediately off lease when my friends lease was up in 2021. Higher kms because he used it a lot, but... got a lot more now, and no serious issues. A couple tears to the upper ball joints but I siliconed them shut. Still working fine. Aftermarket rear shocks have blown a couple times. No other issues. Still just a baby at 170k km / 105k miles. Seat covers on since new :) Fuel economy is better than I have any right to expect, to be honest. On the highway it does ~12.5l/100km with the lift and 33s. She's getting a bit beat up now, but I'm still amazed at the build quality. The only squeaks I have in the cab are the sealing trim. The paint definitely has some scratches and dings though - trees grow close around here. Love the truck, so glad I bought it. Perfect blend of utility and style.

Biggest issue with tacos is the dealership knows they can sell them to someone else in a heartbeat if you don’t want to pay there super inflated price. I bought a 22 sr5 and from the time I ordered it and put money down to when it was delivered they inflated the price $1500. I called them out and said “inflation bro” they don’t care it was only on the lot and they knew it would sell that day. Everyone likes a good COVID story but sadly these have been going up for years. I didn’t want to give $)39k then so no fn way I’ll ever buy another one at )$50k. This will drive the I used market sky high even more bc not even taco lovers will give 50k plus for these. Great truck but not a 50 k truck.

Just cleaned the throttle body on my 2013 RAV4. Now I am having trouble reassembling it. The clamp is a major problem. Can I replace the clamp with something else? Any tricks?

I bought a used 06 Tacoma SR5 Pre Runner about 5.5 years ago. Thought I overpaid but only had 59,k miles. Did know the world was going to go off the rails. No super glad I bought it. Has been great. Got 70k miles from the Michelin tires and the brakes are close to being due but ,80k miles on brakes and rotors. .Going to do my own upgrade with slotted rotors and better pads. Oil changes new plugs drop and fill coolant and fluid change on rear diff and transmission. Real basic stuff as it hit 100k miles. Would love to find a good Tundra but want the ,V8 not some twin turbo V6. The prices and changes are nuts

Trying to clean throttle body on 2013 RAV4 I finally got the clamp off above the throttle body but I still cannot get the plastic hose separated from the throttle body.

-Petr great video topic, No more V8 no more V6 is bad news. I don’t care what the new turbo engines get for mpg and torque, they will never have the long term reliability of a naturally aspirated engine.

Got a 1997 Toyota sr5 with v6 automatic. 429,000 plus miles and still going strong. Suspension is getting weak and noisy but I drive it 3 or 4 times a week even with 2023 Ram 1500 in driveway. Get offers all the time from people wanting to buy it but no way. Don't make them like they used to. Paid $14,500 for it in 2001. Would not buy a new one! You did video of same black truck I got. Thanks.

My ‘17 Taco Pro w/ the manual stickered at $42k. No sunroof, no crash avoidance, speed matching cruise and such. My ‘22 Pro with all of the above plus surround cameras, and the additional Fox lift-the ‘22-‘23 have taller coil overs and billet UCA’s -full sticker with the Predator steps was $49k. It’s an all around better truck than the ‘17 and worth every penny more. Unfortunately, when I went to sell my ‘17 with 67,000 impeccably maintained miles, no one wanted the manual in my area and it sold for $32k. Oh well. The ‘22 will be the last truck I ever buy.

I paid 38,000 out the door for my 2020 Off Road I will keep that truck until the tires fall off.

Now that I am older was thinking of getting a nice sports car with Toyota/Lexus last V8 in the LC500 IS500 or RCF, but the car market is still inflated in my opinion, but I do not see the dollar gaining strength any time soon maybe now is the new affordable?

As the new tacoma is out and all the issues it's already having I would hold on to your 3rd gen if you still have one cause they will be a gold mine as well with the v8 tundra. Watch how desirable they become when people see how bad the quality the new Toyota trucks are.

I have to say the 2024 is better in basically every way except price. The 3.5L V6 is a Camry engine…it doesn’t make much low RPM torque. The turbo 4 makes a lot more low end torque. Also, for taller people the older truck feels like you are sitting on the floor. The driving position in the newer truck is better. The older truck has harder to service and less effective drum brakes. The newer truck also gets better fuel economy. The comparable Ford Ranger has been using a 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo engine since 2019 and it has a good reputation for power and reliability. No reason Toyota can’t be the same.

What about the 07 Tacoma?

This is not correct unless they were set too low. Those rubber stops are supposed to be adjusted up or down to align the hood flush with the fenders. Sure raising it will take out play, but now the hood could be sitting 1/4" to high from flush. Probably needs a new latch.

They just wanted to get rid of the big engines to satisfy the ridiculous EPA and green movements. And the country is collapsing. BRICS is becoming the trade currency and no longer the dollar because our feckless nursing home pResident is in charge and printing money for foreign wars. 110 Billion to Ukraine and they're still losing men to the Rus meat grinder. It's so bad fathers are being taken from the streets to go fight. Ru is only taking back what Nato stole from them. But that's not what the news will program into people. They just want us to pay for the wars so it launders and goes back into the politician's pockets.
